Fits well. The factory original had an activated charcoal odor trapping component which this filter does not. It should be able to filter out dust particles and I haven't noticed any difference in car odors.

Do yourself a favor and research the manufacturer's website when looking for certain late model parts. This filter does fit our 2014 Subaru Forester when Amazon.com says it doesn't. It is the same as the OEM filter and we would purchase a charcoal version if it were available.

Fit perfectly in my 2013 STi. It just had a strange smell for the first few days after installing it. You could smell a chemically cottony smell of the filter media. You could smell the filter media with the air on and not a mild smell but strong to the point where I would have to open my windows to get some fresh air in. After two weeks, i always have my air on and drive alot, the smell has seemed to go away. I hope it stays away as I was almost ready to put the old dirty one back in and order another brand. I replace my cabin filter a few times per year as I always have air on and live in southern california where it is always dusty and smoggy so I like to have a fresh filter in the car. They come out dark brown after just a few months, aprox 6000 miles. Have used filters from dealer and the MANN and have never had this smell before on any of my cars. Have owned subarus since 2003.

Bought this to install into our 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid. For those playing along, the vehicle does have a cabin air filter, the housing lives under the windshield wiper cowl.

Fit perfectly into the housing. Filter comes packaged sealed in a plastic bag. I assume to help keep the arm and hammer freshness...well...fresh until it is put into service.

Without the filter installed, I notice an increase in the amount of dust/pollen on the dashboard, and my seasonal allergies acting up when riding in the car.

With the filter, less dust/pollen, and my nose isn't running.

Filter does have a directional arrow screen-printed, which indicates proper filter airflow.

After a few months, I checked on the filter and while it was still seated in the housing, the foam pieces around the sides had begun to tear/wear off. This did not seem to have any adverse reaction on the performance of the filter, just something I noted.

I never smelled any odor emitting from the filter after installation.

Have bought, and will buy another one when the time comes for replacement.
